Long-time reader-subscriber here, so an OLD person. But one who reads a lot of news, both "free" [infernal, interruptive ads] and paid [infernal, interruptive ads]. I am also -- oddly -- a fan and early-adopter of tech (and an Amazon-lover), but the current Post app seems to address none of these markets, barely refreshing breaking national and international news, and displaying the same non-section front page headlines day after day. Worse than Huffington Post for its "feel-iness," it is as though nothing happens in the neighborhoods of the nations capital -- let alone its sprawling neighborhoods. One has to dig SO deep to find news not elsewhere splattered as to not bother beyond the NY Times (which DOES actually cover local news). I get its being "the nations newspaper, but beyond the columnists (often distributed elsewhere), and the omnipresent talking-head journalists so often seen on TV, I fear the brand is weakening to "yeah, them."
