I am a fan of the posts writers. As an expat living overseas, I often lose track of events in the US. The closing of 130 Walmart Stores and its aftermath sent a reminder to me that the tribune and other international newspapers dont have the resources to cover all issues. The high caliber writing of WP journalists give life to the voices of people who are often hidden from view. Thank you.

All you could ask to a news app

Use the app all day everyday. Convenient, reliable and easy.

The app is great! Provides timely, succinct highlights for major stories. Click on the text to get to the full story. Fabulous writing as youd expect the the WP.

The Post has a great tradition of fine reporting. I hope that continues and is expanded with Bezos dollars behind it. (And maintaining editorial freedom...) The app is tremendous in most areas, save one that drives me to distraction: I cant zoom in on the photos. What gives, Post?

Easy to use, now my first choice for news.

I like the app. Its taken me a little while to figure out how to use the interface. I do like being able to get to the articles Im interested in. Easy to read.

I miss the old app. This one only lets you see one headline at a time, with a description that is way too short. They try to distract you with enormous cover photos of EVERY single story. The old app was smoother and far better looking. This app is a disgusting mess. They should at least let us choose between this and the classic app. Ill stick to the mobile website.

Type a review and it deletes it because the nickname is not unique? Real problem is the app keeps crashing. Tries to open, get title bar, crash. Tried last iOS upgrade, didnt help. Deleted app and installed fresh version, no help. Convention time and no news, not good. WaPo, we need a fix.

I have been using the Washinton Post since previous apps and find the current one to be easy to use, very readable and easy to navigate. It ran slow on my older iPad, but loads quickly on my new iPad. Kudos to one of the great newspapers for bringing its content to digital customers!

I like the layout but it crashes often and also gets stuck very often

The new app is beautiful and so intuitive and user-friendly. Writing superb and the number of articles strikes me as much larger than other papers.

Okay, Ill admit to being "of a certain age", so forgive my carping on what I think is the indue emphasis on eye-grabbing photos and themed title fonts. The story is the thing, and WaPo employs some excellent journalists - the reason I subscribe. I find the apps tendency to rely on 2/3-page leading images annoying and unnecessarily - perhaps unwittingly -editorializing. Id prefer more text on the page so I dont have to scroll past the huge images so much.

Not Much more to say beyond that...graphic photos are really good, stories are outstanding

Well organized news app. Easy to negotiate ones way around and read the news. Latest improvement is offering 2 daily papers each day. Highly recommend.
